 A Letter From the President:

The board of directors met at Cedar Shores on Sunday with almost a full board. The weather was good so travel wasn't a problem. Looks like the Association is financially stable for another year anyway. Membership is growing some. So that is a positive note.

The convention is coming together fairly well. I believe the Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn will be an attendant friendly place for the convention as we won't have to walk very far to get to meetings, classes, meals or the HOSPITALITY ROOM! Just hop on the elevator push the button and go up or down and there you are.

We have Chuck Bode and Marie Spodek for speakers this year. I am hoping all the members can benefit from their deliverance. Hopefully we will have a representative from the NAA in attendance also. We also have, what I hope, is an exciting tour for the Ladies planned for Friday.

There will be entertainment for the evening of the banquet, so come prepared to dance the night away. We are also trying to have a little extra added excitement too. And don't forget the fun auction. Bring some items to sell, as usual.

The board addressed trying to recruit new members, which should always be a goal for every current member. If you know of someone who is an auctioneer but doesn't belong, please encourage them to join. If you run into someone give them an elevator speech. Tell them of the benefits the Association has to offer and of the good time to be had by attending the convention. Also, if you know of a past member who isn't current, put a bug in their ear. We need former and new members as well.

Don't forget to reserve your rooms. Even if you are not sure if you can make it at this time, get a room locked in. If you have to cancel for some unknown reason, at least you will have a room reserved.

Jeff Storm will be setting up the hospitality room, so if you want something special besides Bud Light in aluminum bottles better send Jeff a text or e-mail. We will try to have enough of something for Ken G.!
